Students presented their research today at the Study Block 1 Research Forum, giving staff and fellow students the chance to hear about their work.

The session highlighted a range of research topics, including sustainable banking, digital procurement, data governance, and the use of generative artificial intelligence by international students in the pre-arrival stage of the student journey.

Each presentation was followed by questions from the audience, and the discussions continued over a shared lunch.

The presenters and their projects were:

  • Chathurika Alwis – Advancing sustainable banking in New Zealand: a technology-driven framework for enhancing sustainability in New Zealand banking operations and customer services.
  • Sudath Rohan Dharmadasa – A qualitative investigation into digital procurement adoption and supply chain efficiency in the New Zealand construction industry.
  • Anto Lorenzil Fernando – Are the boards of financial firms in New Zealand ready to navigate the digital transformation wave?
  • Cinderella Orias – Evaluating data governance from the perspective of IT practitioners in Asia Pacific IT organisations.
  • Tio Windry – International students’ use of generative artificial intelligence in the pre-study stage of the student journey in New Zealand.
