Aditya Santosh Pawade

Master of Applied Management

India

Aditya Pawade is embracing life in New Zealand by getting involved in campus activities, giving back as a peer tutor, and immersing himself in Kiwi and Māori culture.

Aditya chose to study at AIC because of its outstanding reputation for providing practical, industry-connected education.

“The emphasis on hands-on learning, coupled with experienced lecturers who bring real-world insights into the classroom, made it the ideal place to advance my career,” he says.

Adjusting to life and studying in a new country presented some challenges, particularly balancing academic commitments and adapting to a different educational system. There was also the initial challenge of overcoming language barriers and cultural differences.

“I overcame these challenges by actively engaging in campus activities, seeking guidance from supportive lecturers and classmates, and immersing myself in Kiwi culture,” says Aditya.

Aditya is pursuing a Te Reo Māori learning journey. It began with basic greetings like kia ora and ngā mihi nui. Gradually, Aditya learned several useful sentences and phrases, deepening his appreciation for New Zealand’s indigenous culture.

“I’m committed to continuing this rewarding journey, recognising it as an essential part of living and learning in Aotearoa,” he says.
Aditya works as a peer tutor alongside his Master of Applied Management studies. He says this role has allowed him to support others while developing his own skills, helping to boost his confidence.

“I support fellow students to achieve their academic goals. I’m passionate about continuous learning, cultural exploration, and building meaningful connections.”

Aditya says the best things about studying at AIC have been the practical approach to education, the continuous support from highly qualified lecturers, and the diversity among his classmates.

“Being part of such a culturally diverse environment has significantly enriched my learning experience and provided me with lifelong connections,” says Aditya.

Aditya previously spent eight years working in the banking industry in India, gaining experience in management, customer relations, and financial analysis.

“This experience not only shaped my professional skills but also inspired my passion for further studies,” he says.
After graduation, he plans to pursue a career as a Business Analyst.

“I’m eager to apply the analytical and problem-solving skills I have developed at AIC, building upon my banking and financial background to help businesses in New Zealand thrive.”

Aditya’s advice to his fellow students and prospective students is to stay open-minded, courageous, and actively engaged.

“Make the most of every opportunity AIC provides - seek support whenever needed and embrace the diverse experiences and connections available. Each step you take is building towards a successful and fulfilling future,” he says.

“Don’t hesitate to step out of your comfort zone, ask for help when needed, and actively engage with the community around you.”
