News and events

We heard about a wide range of research conducted by our postgraduate students at a forum recently.

Postgraduate Applied Management research students present their research results to staff, students, and, in this case, employers in Week 6 of every study block.

Six students presented at our most recent forum, including four thesis students and two professional project students.

The topics were varied and of high interest to the audience with very positive feedback on the quality of the research and the high standards of the presentations.

Several students who listened to the presentations have now indicated an interest in taking the research pathway for their Master of Applied Management.

Lunch followed the presentations which gave an opportunity for questions and discussions with the student presenters.

The students and their research topics were:

 - Aditya Bhardwaj – Airport Service Quality and Human Factor Contributions.

 - Marlou Queniahan – Guidelines to Ensure Māori Data Sovereignty in the ICP Sector in NZ.

 - Melanie Perera – Exploring the Role of AI in Enhancing Sustainability within NZ’s Hospitality Industry: A Study on Knowledge, Applicability and Perception in Reducing Food Waste.

 - Natalia Tormysheva – Tiaki Promise as an Element of Destination Management for International Tourists.

 - Patricia Joseph – From Education to Employment – Investigating Postgraduate Education Outcomes of International Students in the ICT Sector in NZ.

 - Sash Skakun – Leveraging Digital Transformation to Address Women’s Challenges in the Technology Industry.

Research Director, Dr Farhad Mehdipour, facilitated the sessions.

Congratulations to the students on the presentations and coming to the end of their Master of Applied Management degree.
