Sessional Lecturer
Soheila Mohammadyari is a postgraduate lecturer in Applied Management, currently teaching MIS and Information Security at Otago Polytechnic, New Zealand. She is interested in how emerging technologies-particularly artificial intelligence and machine learning-shape organisational practices, decision-making, and human behaviour. Her work sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction, digital transformation, and applied management, with a strong emphasis on translating technical concepts into practical, industry-relevant insights. Her research explores how users interact with intelligent systems, including AI-driven and mobile health technologies, and how these interactions influence adoption, self-management, and service outcomes. She is particularly interested in how AI, alongside immersive technologies such as VR and AR, is redefining human-technology relationships in organisational and healthcare contexts, and how thoughtful design and governance of these systems can improve both user experience and outcomes.
