Simon Kitson

Simon has a background in academic research, tertiary teaching and curriculum development. Simon holds a PhD and has experience at the University of Auckland, the University of Birmingham, and the University of London Institute in Paris. He has been closely involved in course design, assessment development, and the evaluation of teaching and learning practice. Simon has a strong interest in the relationship between pedagogy, digital technologies and assessment design. Simon is very interested in football (a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter) and ice hockey (a claim to fame is having met legends such as Joe Sakic and Guy Lafleur). He loves music, especially the post-punk music of the 1980s (he runs a Facebook group devoted to The Cure). Originally from England, he loves to travel. He has three cats and two children.
