Students visit timber facility and explore construction processes

Our Construction students gained practical insight into modern construction during a visit to Red Stag TimberLab.

The visit to Red Stag TimberLab was a valuable experience for the students, as it allowed them to see real construction processes beyond the classroom. Students were able to observe how timber components are prefabricated in a factory setting, which helped them better understand concepts discussed in lectures.

The experience was particularly useful in showing how theory is applied in practice. Students gained insight into modern construction techniques, the use of machinery, and the importance of precision and planning in prefabrication. It also highlighted the benefits of offsite construction, such as improved efficiency, safety, and reduced waste.

Overall, the visit enhanced students’ learning by providing practical exposure and a clearer understanding of industry practices, making the subject more engaging and relevant.
