Students gain project management insights from industry expert
A group of students had the opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the world of project management last week.
Project management expert Matt Salehzadeh was on campus sharing industry insights on career pathways, essential skills, and job market trends.
Matt is a Senior Project Manager at One NZ and volunteers with the Project Management Institute NZ.
His talk also covered entry-level roles in Project Management, including Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Business Analyst. He said these roles provide valuable experience and can lead to more senior positions.
He told students about the key industries hiring project managers including Information Technology, Construction, Finance, and Healthcare.
We thank Matt for coming along, sharing his wisdom, and answering our students’ questions.
Students should keep an eye on their emails for invitations to exclusive events like this one. Those interested can reply to express their interest, and the Employability Centre will select a group to attend.
