The Construction department recently hosted an engaging guest lecture for learners in the Construction Business Management course, presented by Rishan Wijeweera, Client Operations Lead at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics New Zealand.

The session focused on Supply and Demand Management in Construction Business Operations and provided learners with valuable industry insights into supply chain management, procurement, logistics coordination, lean operations, and operational decision-making within the construction industry.

The guest lecture significantly enhanced learners’ understanding of real-world construction business operations by connecting theoretical concepts from the classroom with practical industry experience.

Through the discussion of real business examples and operational strategies, students gained a deeper understanding of how supply and demand management influences construction projects, productivity, cost control, resource planning, and overall project efficiency.

The session also encouraged learners to think critically about problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and business management within construction environments.
