Alumni return for AIC reunion
Auckland International Campus alumni returned to campus on the weekend for a reunion that brought graduates together to reconnect, share their experiences, and reflect on their journeys since leaving AIC.
The event was organised by Employability team members Dani Mao and Nicki Trueman and welcomed alumni working across a range of industries throughout New Zealand.
AIC student Dinakshi Perera says it was inspiring to see how much alumni had grown since graduation.
She said graduates are now making their mark in sectors including technology, operations, business support, healthcare, insurance, and manufacturing.
Dinakshi said the reunion provided an opportunity to hear the stories behind those career journeys.
"Behind every current title is a real, human story," she says.
She said alumni spoke about securing their first jobs, navigating interviews, and adapting to life and work in a new country.
Dinakshi said the gathering recognised the resilience it takes to build a career, the friendships formed along the way, and the confidence people develop through those experiences.
She thanked alumni for returning to campus and sharing their stories.
"Your connection to AIC doesn't end when you cross the graduation stage. You will always belong here."
