Alumni and students connect over coffee and career insights
Last Saturday’s Alumni Mentoring Coffee Connect event brought together a diverse group of former and current AIC students for a morning of professional kōrero.
Ten amazing alumni now working across sectors such as sustainability, government, construction, tourism, HR, banking, AI development, and tertiary education met with over 40 current learners from our Construction, IT, and Management programmes.
They shared:
- Their career journeys
- Tips for navigating the New Zealand job market
- Industry trends and emerging skills
- Honest reflections on transitioning from study to work
The room was buzzing with curiosity, encouragement, and insight - everything you hope for when bridging the gap between education and the world of work.
Thank you to our alumni for sharing their time and knowledge, and to our students for actively engaging in the conversation.
