Want to gain the skills needed for higher-level learning?
This certificate will give you the academic skills, capabilities, knowledge, and attributes needed to succeed in higher-level education. It’s ideal for those who want to pursue further qualifications in their chosen fields.
Your study will be directly related to the three programme areas we offer here at OPAIC – Applied Management, Construction, and Information Technology. Students can decide whether to enrol in the Business context of the programme or the Construction and Information Technology context.
The Business context leads to our Bachelor of Applied Management. The Construction and Information Technology context can lead to our Bachelor of Construction, NZ Diploma in Construction, or Bachelor of Information Technology.
At the end of this programme students will be able to:
- Develop and critique a plan for study and explore employment pathways relevant to their chosen field.
- Evaluate their skills and strengths and identify areas for further development in study, training, or employment.
- Construct a well-reasoned and researched argument relevant to their chosen field and communicate it appropriately.
- Find and analyse information from a variety of sources and use this information to complete tasks and solve problems.
This programme is offered by Future Skills Academy due to a sub-contract arrangement with Otago Polytechnic.
